About the cottage
A place to notice things again.
There's a chair on the deck where I have my coffee in the summer and watch the birds. I love waking up to the woodland out the bedroom window. I love how the light tracks around through the day — the front deck in the morning, the south side by mid-afternoon, wrapping the whole cottage in the warm part of the evening. Wildlife is visible from every corner.
The cottage sits near the limestone cliffs at Grindstone Provincial Park, in the woods, with a view of the island chain in the middle of Lake Winnipeg. Minutes from beaches and trails. Two hours from the city, past Gimli, then a little further.
If you want to read quietly, walk, write, listen to the birds, have a fire, or spend an afternoon at the beach with the family — this is your spot.
